Welcome to Gunns Bush Camp
The camp is perfectly set up for groups with up to 104 bunk beds, six powered sites and an abundance of lawn for camping and two bathroom blocks.
The large communal kitchen is fully equipped and our hall can easily accommodate up to 100 people and is your blank canvas to create the atmosphere for your gathering.
Our unique location
Situated 50km south of Timaru or North of Oamaru and 10km from Waimate, Gunn’s Bush Camp, nestled in 140 hectares of beautiful New Zealand forest, is ideally suited for schools, outdoor experience groups, church groups, clubs and corporations for team building, and family groups who want a retreat-like exclusive location.
This is also a unique location for the celebration of special occasions including weddings and birthdays and is set up as a self-catering experience for you to personalise your event.
The beautiful native bush and creek is easily accessed via the camp.
Our Facilities
Our hall can easily accommodation 100 people and the fully equipped kitchen is ready for your group. Bathrooms are in two blocks and the grounds are perfect for outdoor gatherings.

We have 104 bunk beds in two wings and have plenty of room for tents and campervans/caravans.
Activities
Let us help you create an occasion not to be forgotten. We have a variety of games and activities onsite including our camp bush walk, disc golf, tug of war, table tennis and a water slide available.
